I Name This Blog…

whats-in-a-name-695x436

Reading cat’s blog earlier who is doing the Blogging 101 course, today it’s about how you chose your blog name.

Having previously had blogs on Blogger and AOL when I came to this platform I wasn’t entirely sure what it was going to be about let alone a name.

It took a few days of jotting down thoughts on what kind of posts to write, I had vague ideas of being a Carrie Bradshaw, charting my daily life then decided that would be too boring even for me, so readers I spared you that at least lol.

I then looked at my interests, none of which I dedicated anytime to except movies, therefore Film Friday was born, but still needed something meaty that said where I was coming from.

I’ve always had a passion for books and decided on The Alice In wonderland theme, this way I could write about what mattered to me now, and when I’m in that other place, I did feel like a kindred spirit when describing my breakdowns as “Falling Down The Rabbit Hole” this seemed to sum me up perfectly with the added tagline “I can’t go back to yesterday, I was a different person then” which of course I was.

So the blog was born, and I wrote about different things, but only a small amount about depression, I’d been about 8 months into this blog when the black dog caught up and completely engulfed me, in what has hopefully been my last breakdown and I did indeed feel as though I’d fallen down the rabbit hole, not that magical place that C.S. Lewis describes, with the Cheshire cat and the tea party, I missed the turning for that one, and landed into the grim reapers playroom, and I was the only guest(or so I thought), anyway the title seems to fit, and because of that this time around I’m much more open about my experiences and what has brought me from there to here.
