In the categories I choose to post in, I feel that I belong in that community, we share so much of ourselves, and depression is an illness that requires support at all times.
When we are in crisis, it’s so important to be able to reach out, and those who have been in the same or similar are best placed to offer real support, regardless of how you know each other, though as we can see blogging is not only a creative medium, but sometimes the only place we can go to talk.
We tend to cross over in our blog reading so if there is someone you know that is in crisis and has put a trigger warning on their post, we can call on each other to offer support and help them, just a few words of encouragement, and just to let them know they are not alone.

It really has been so enlightening receiving so much support for something I didn’t think would get anything but abuse. Thank you for your support. I cannot thank everyone enough. I have no way to put it into words.

Thanks! I agree I see so much compasion in these blogs and their comments, it gives you a sense of scecurity that people do genuinley care.
