I think the postman delivered my Valentines Cards to the wrong address…lol just kidding…
The most romantic day of the year if we believe Hall mark and other such organisations who wish to part us from our hard earned money.
Cynical not much, but then we have anniversary’s isn’t that the day to celebrate with your loved one, I find the whole Valentines things such a rip off, you need a second mortgage to buy flowers and chocolates, and if you run to going out for dinner, you might have to give a kidney or more depending on the trendiness of the restaurant.
What is it with Valentines menu’s, it’s supposed to be the food of love and usually restaurants serve the heaviest meals, that literally leave you not only with palpitations(the raging heartburn comes later) but unable to leave your seat, so much for romance(elasticated waistbands recommended)
By the time you take your wilted rose and heave yourself into a taxi, there isn’t much desire to do the lurve thing, and tomorrow is a work day.
There are so many ways to show your appreciation all year round from that special someone bringing you a coffee first thing in the morning to doing something you like but they don’t, it all adds up to this thing called love.
